Welcome to the HJ Wu & Company Inc. (CPA) website. These terms are the ground rules for using it. By using the site you agree to them, so please give them a quick read. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who are we?

This website belongs to HJ Wu & Company Inc. (CPA), a Chartered Professional Accountant firm at 512 - 938 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1N9. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the firm.

Is the information on this site advice?

No. The pages, guides and tax dates here are general information written in plain language. They are not tax, accounting or legal advice for your situation. Rules, rates and deadlines change, and we do our best to keep things current, but mistakes and delays happen. Please check with us or the official source before you act. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.

Does using the site make me a client?

No. Reading the site, sending a message through the contact form or emailing us does not create a client relationship. That starts only when we both agree to work together and you receive an engagement letter. Please do not send confidential details, such as your SIN or banking information, through the website forms.

How can I use the site?

You are welcome to browse, link to our pages and share them. Please do not try to break the site, overload it, or get into parts of it that are not meant for you. Please do not use the contact or subscribe forms to send spam or someone else’s details.

Who owns the content?

The text, layout, logo and graphics on this site belong to HJ Wu & Company Inc. or are used with permission. You can quote short excerpts if you credit us and link back. Please ask first before copying whole pages or using our content commercially.

What about links to other websites?

We link to government and professional websites, such as the CRA, the Government of BC, the City of Vancouver and the Law Society of BC. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Forms, emails and your information

When you use a form, you agree the details you give us are your own and are accurate. We email a copy of what you send to the address you entered. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Are there any guarantees?

The site is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on its information. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Which laws apply?

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them would be handled by the courts of British Columbia.
