What this tool does and does not include
- The starting numbers are examples only. Replace them with your own.
- Simplified 2026 estimates for a British Columbia business or owner. They leave out many real-life details such as other income, deductions and credits.
- Rates and rules change. Confirm them with the firm or the government before you act.
- Information only. This is not tax, accounting, legal or financial advice.
Good to know
- Incorporating can limit some liability but not for your own professional work. Ask your regulator and the firm.
- Health practitioners and lawyers must use a professional corporation that their college or the Law Society approves.
- Counting only tax, a corporation helps most when you leave money in it.
